In an effort to broaden the network of professionals in the field, we have an immediate opening for a Peer Recovery Coach staffed in the emergency department of INOVA Alexandria Hospital. This professional provides non-clinical services intended to aid patients in establishing recovery from persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder and works with the assigned program’s treatment team to provide excellent peer support.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
• The candidate must be actively engaged in his/her own recovery program with a minimum of two years demonstrated personal recovery in managing their mental illness and sustained recovery from a substance use disorder.
• Eligible for the Certification as a Peer Recovery Coach in the State of Virginia and complete training and certification within the first year of employment.
